What does it mean? The Hebrew name of the Tabor means Pinnacle or Height. Tabor stands between northern and southern Israel. In Biblical meaning of the Tabor is: purity, bruising, choice. The border land between two tribes. 11 miles west of the Sea of Galilee and 1,843 feet high. Tabor is insulated and it presents to the eye a beautiful appearance. With symmetrical proportions.

Why this Mountain is so important? That it was the scene of the transfiguration of our Lord.
